God is the Lord, and He revealed Himself to us. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. [SAAS]

Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶ ἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ.

Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His holy name.

Στίχ. βʹ. Πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἐκύκλωσάν με, καὶ τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου ἠμυνάμην αὐτούς.

Verse 2: All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I defended myself against them.

Στίχ. γʹ. Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη καὶ ἔστι θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν.

Verse 3: And this came about from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes.

Μεσούσης τῆς ἑορτῆς, διψῶσάν μου τὴν ψυχήν, εὐσεβείας πότισον νάματα· ὅτι πᾶσι Σωτὴρ ἐβόησας· Ὁ διψῶν, ἐρχέσθω πρός με καὶ πινέτω. Ἡ πηγὴ τῆς ζωῆς, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, δόξα σοι. (3)

At the mid-point of the Feast, O Saviour, water my thirsty soul with streams of true devotion; for you cried out to all: Any who thirst, let them come to me, and let them drink! O Source of life, Christ our God, glory to you! (3) [Lash]

Commemorating our all-holy, pure, most blessed and glorious Lady, Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, with all the Saints, let us entrust ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God.

Ὁ πάντων ἐπιστάμενος, τῶν καρδιῶν λογισμούς, ἐν μέσῳ ἀνέκραζε τοῦ ἱεροῦ ἑστηκώς, τοῖς ψεύσταις λέγων ἀλήθειαν· Τί ζητεῖτε πιάσαι, ἐμὲ τὸν Ζωοδότην; Ἑορτῆς μεσαζούσης, ἐκβοῶν παῤῥησίᾳ· Μὴ τὴν κατʼ ὄψιν κρίσιν κρίνετε παράνομοι.

The One who knows the thoughts of every heart, stood in the midst of the Temple and cried aloud, speaking truth to the liars: Why do you seek to arrest me, the Giver of Life? as he cried out at the mid-point of the Feast: Lawless ones, do not pass judgement by appearances! (Twice) [Lash]

Τῆς ἑορτῆς τῆς νομικῆς μεσαζούσης, ὁ τῶν ἁπάντων Ποιητὴς καὶ Δεσπότης, πρὸς τοὺς παρόντας ἔλεγες, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός· Δεῦτε καὶ ἀρύσασθε, ὕδωρ ἀθανασίας· ὅθεν σοι προσπίπτομεν, καὶ πιστῶς ἐκβοῶμεν· Τοὺς οἰκτιρμούς σου δώρησαι ἡμῖν· σὺ γὰρ ὑπάρχεις πηγὴ τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν.

On May 6 we commemorate the holy, righteous, and much-suffering Prophet Job.

Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ, μνήμη τοῦ Ὁσίου Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Σεραφείμ, τοῦ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Δομβοῦς.

On this day we commemorate our devout and God-bearing Father Seraphim, who lived as an ascetic on Mt. Domvu.

On Wednesday of the Paralytic, we celebrate the feast of Mid-Pentecost.

Θάλασσαν ἔπηξας, βυθίσας σὺν ἅρμασι τὸν ἀλαζόνα Φαραώ, καὶ λαὸν διέσωσας ἁβρόχως Κύριε, καὶ εἰσήγαγες αὐτοὺς εἰς ὄρος ἁγιάσματος, βοῶντας· ᾌσωμέν σοι τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν, ᾠδὴν ἐπινίκιον, τῷ ἐν πολέμοις κραταιῷ.

All ablaze with a raging fire was the Chaldeans' furnace.* Then, by God's own authority, it was bedewed with a spirit. * The Servants were chanting thus, * "You are the God of our fathers, and blessed are You." [SD]

Αἰνοῦμεν, εὐλογοῦμεν καὶ προσκυνοῦμεν τὸν Κύριον.

We praise and we bless and we worship the Lord.

So why do you seek to kill Me, * the One who brings back the dead to life?" [SD]

The severe and iniquitous * and ungrateful society * of the Jews threw stones at the Prophet Moses of old. * They killed Isaiah by sawing him * in two with a wooden saw. * They imprisoned in a pit * Jeremiah the holy sage. * But the Lord of all * they had raised on a cross, and then they cried out, "You who would destroy the temple, * we will believe if you save yourself." Φωτισθέντες ἀδελφοί, τῇ Ἀναστάσει τοῦ Σωτῆρος Χριστοῦ, καὶ φθάσαντες τὸ μέσον τῆς Ἑορτῆς τῆς δεσποτικῆς, γνησίως φυλάξωμεν τὰς ἐντολὰς τοῦ Θεοῦ· ἵνα ἄξιοι γενώμεθα, καὶ τὴν Ἀνάληψιν ἑορτάσαι, καὶ τῆς παρουσίας τυχεῖν τοῦ ἁγίου Πνεύματος.

We were illumined, O brethren, by the Resurrection of Christ the Savior. And now we have reached the middle of the feast of the Lord. Let us sincerely keep the commandments of God, so that we may become worthy to celebrate the Ascension as well, and witness the coming of the Holy Spirit. [SD]

Great Doxology

Δόξα σοι τῷ δείξαντι τὸ φῶς. Δόξα ἐν ὑψίστοις Θεῷ καὶ ἐπὶ γῆς εἰρήνη, ἐν ἀνθρώποις εὐδοκία.

Glory to you who have shown us the light. Glory in the highest to God. His peace is on earth, His good pleasure in mankind. [Lash]

Ὑμνοῦμέν σε, εὐλογοῦμέν σε, προσκυνοῦμέν σε, δοξολογοῦμέν σε, εὐχαριστοῦμέν σοι, διὰ τὴν μεγάλην σου δόξαν.

We praise you, * we bless you, * we worship you, * we glorify you, * we give you thanks * for your great glory.

Κύριε βασιλεῦ, ἐπουράνιε Θεέ, Πάτερ παντοκράτορ· Κύριε Υἱὲ μονογενές, Ἰησοῦ Χριστέ, καὶ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα.

Lord, King, * God of heaven, * Father, Almighty, * Lord, only-begotten Son, * Jesus Christ * and holy Spirit.

Κύριε ὁ Θεός, ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ Θεοῦ, ὁ Υἱὸς τοῦ Πατρός, ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς, ὁ αἴρων τὰς ἁμαρτίας τοῦ κόσμου.

Lord God, * Lamb of God, * Son of the Father, * who takes away the sin of the world, * have mercy on us; * you take away the sins of the world.

Πρόσδεξαι τὴν δέησιν ἡμῶν, ὁ καθήμενος ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ Πατρός, καὶ ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς.

Receive our prayer, * you who sit at the right hand of the Father, * and have mercy on us.

Ὅτι σὺ εἶ μόνος Ἅγιος, σὺ εἶ μόνος Κύριος, Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, εἰς δόξαν Θεοῦ Πατρός. Ἀμήν.

For you alone are holy, * you alone are Lord, * Jesus Christ, * to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Καθʼ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν εὐλογήσω σε καὶ αἰνέσω τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος.

Every day I will bless You, and Your name will I praise to eternity, and to the ages of ages.

Καταξίωσον, Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ, ἀναμαρτήτους φυλαχθῆναι ἡμᾶς.

Grant, Lord, * this day * to keep us without sin.

Εὐλογητὸς εἶ, Κύριε, ὁ Θεὸς τῶν Πατέρων ἡμῶν, καὶ αἰνετὸν καὶ δεδοξασμένον τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας. Ἀμήν.

Blessed are You, O Lord, the God of our fathers, and praised and glorified is Your name to the ages. Amen.

Γένοιτο, Κύριε, τὸ ἔλεός σου ἐφʼ ἡμᾶς, καθάπερ ἠλπίσαμεν ἐπὶ σέ.

Let Your mercy be on us, O Lord, as we have set our hope on You.

Κύριε, καταφυγὴ ἐγενήθης ἡμῖν ἐν γενεᾷ καὶ γενεᾷ. Ἐγὼ εἶπα· Κύριε, ἐλέησόν με, ἴασαι τὴν ψυχήν μου, ὅτι ἥμαρτόν σοι.

Lord, You have been our refuge from generation to generation. I said: Lord, have mercy on me. Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.

Κύριε, πρὸς σὲ κατέφυγον. Δίδαξόν με τοῦ ποιεῖν τὸ θέλημά σου, ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ Θεός μου.

Lord, I have fled to You. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God.

Ὅτι παρὰ σοὶ πηγὴ ζωῆς, ἐν τῷ φωτί σου ὀψόμεθα φῶς.

For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we shall see light.

Παράτεινον τὸ ἔλεός σου τοῖς γινώσκουσί σε.

Continue Your mercy to those who know You.

Μεσούσης τῆς ἑορτῆς, διψῶσάν μου τὴν ψυχήν, εὐσεβείας πότισον νάματα· ὅτι πᾶσι Σωτὴρ ἐβόησας· Ὁ διψῶν, ἐρχέσθω πρός με καὶ πινέτω. Ἡ πηγὴ τῆς ζωῆς, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, δόξα σοι.

At the mid-point of the Feast, O Saviour, water my thirsty soul with streams of true devotion; for you cried out to all: Any who thirst, let them come to me, and let them drink! O Source of life, Christ our God, glory to you! [Lash]
