God is the Lord, and He revealed Himself to us. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. [SAAS]

Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶ ἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ.

Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His holy name.

Στίχ. βʹ. Πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἐκύκλωσάν με, καὶ τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου ἠμυνάμην αὐτούς.

Verse 2: All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I defended myself against them.

Στίχ. γʹ. Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη καὶ ἔστι θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν.

At the mid-point of the Feast, O Saviour, water my thirsty soul with streams of true devotion; for you cried out to all: Any who thirst, let them come to me, and let them drink! O Source of life, Christ our God, glory to you! (3) [Lash]

Commemorating our all-holy, pure, most blessed and glorious Lady, Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, with all the Saints, let us entrust ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God.

Ὁ πάντων ἐπιστάμενος, τῶν καρδιῶν λογισμούς, ἐν μέσῳ ἀνέκραζε τοῦ ἱεροῦ ἑστηκώς, τοῖς ψεύσταις λέγων ἀλήθειαν· Τί ζητεῖτε πιάσαι, ἐμὲ τὸν Ζωοδότην; Ἑορτῆς μεσαζούσης, ἐκβοῶν παῤῥησίᾳ· Μὴ τὴν κατʼ ὄψιν κρίσιν κρίνετε παράνομοι.

Τῆς ἑορτῆς τῆς νομικῆς μεσαζούσης, ὁ τῶν ἁπάντων Ποιητὴς καὶ Δεσπότης, πρὸς τοὺς παρόντας ἔλεγες, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός· Δεῦτε καὶ ἀρύσασθε, ὕδωρ ἀθανασίας· ὅθεν σοι προσπίπτομεν, καὶ πιστῶς ἐκβοῶμεν· Τοὺς οἰκτιρμούς σου δώρησαι ἡμῖν· σὺ γὰρ ὑπάρχεις πηγὴ τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν.

Our devout Father Efthymios the New, Founder of the sacred Monastery of Iveron and his father John the Iberian, and George their relative, reposed in peace.

Devout Saint Gabriel the Iberian, who heard the divine voice and retrieved the wonderworking Portress Icon of the Theotokos from the sea, reposed in peace.

Οἱ Μοναχοὶ Ὁσιομάρτυρες Ἰβηρῖται, οἱ τοὺς λατινόφρονας ἐλέγξαντες, τὸν βασιλέα, φημί, Μιχαὴλ καὶ τὸν Πατριάρχην Βέκκον, ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ βληθέντες, τελειοῦνται.

The devout Martyrs, the monks of Iveron Monastery who censured the Latin-minded Emperor Michael Paleologus and the Patriarch John Beccus, died when they were thrown into the sea.

Θάλασσαν ἔπηξας, βυθίσας σὺν ἅρμασι τὸν ἀλαζόνα Φαραώ, καὶ λαὸν διέσωσας ἁβρόχως Κύριε, καὶ εἰσήγαγες αὐτοὺς εἰς ὄρος ἁγιάσματος, βοῶντας· ᾌσωμέν σοι τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν, ᾠδὴν ἐπινίκιον, τῷ ἐν πολέμοις κραταιῷ.

You fixed the sea, Lord, drowning boastful Pharao with his chariots; you saved the people dry-shod and led them to the mountain of sanctification, as they cried: Let us sing a song of victory to our God, the mighty in wars. [Lash]

The waves of life are tossing me like the waters of the sea, O Friend of humanity. * I cry to You, O Logos, as once did Jonah, * to raise my life from corruption, O Lord and only compassionate. [SD]

All ablaze with a raging fire was the Chaldeans' furnace.* Then, by God's own authority, it was bedewed with a spirit. * The Servants were chanting thus, * "You are the God of our fathers, and blessed are You." [SD]

We praise and we bless and we worship the Lord.

Pouring out gifts of healings, my Redeemer performed signs and wonders, banishing diseases, healing the sick; but the Jews were maddened by the multitude of his wonders. [Lash]

My Redeemer confounding the unbelieving Jews cried out: Do not judge by appearances; but judge just judgement: for the Law orders every man to be circumcised even on the Sabbath. [Lash]

Young men and maidens, elders with younger, let them praise the Lord’s name, for His name alone is exalted.

His thanksgiving is in earth and heaven. And He shall exalt the horn of His people.

Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise in the assembly of His holy ones.

Let Israel be glad in Him who made him, and let the children of Zion greatly rejoice in their King.

To deal retribution to the nations, reproving among the peoples.

To shackle their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron.

To fulfill among them the written judgment: this glory have all His holy ones.

The Messiah and Lord of all * stopped the mouths of the Jewish scribes, * and the Jews He censured when He cried out to them, * "Judge not by outward appearances, * O lawbreakers, as unjust. * For example, since I raised * up the man who was paralyzed * on the Sabbath day, * I am Lord of the Law and of the Sabbath. So why do you seek to kill Me, * the One who brings back the dead to life?" [SD]

The severe and iniquitous * and ungrateful society * of the Jews threw stones at the Prophet Moses of old. * They killed Isaiah by sawing him * in two with a wooden saw. * They imprisoned in a pit * Jeremiah the holy sage. * But the Lord of all * they had raised on a cross, and then they cried out, "You who would destroy the temple, * we will believe if you save yourself." Δόξα σοι τῷ δείξαντι τὸ φῶς. Δόξα ἐν ὑψίστοις Θεῷ καὶ ἐπὶ γῆς εἰρήνη, ἐν ἀνθρώποις εὐδοκία.

Glory to you who have shown us the light. Glory in the highest to God. His peace is on earth, His good pleasure in mankind. [Lash]
