Τὸ φαιδρὸν τῆς ἀναστάσεως κήρυγμα, ἐκ τοῦ Ἀγγέλου μαθοῦσαι αἱ τοῦ Κυρίου Μαθήτριαι, καὶ τὴν προγονικὴν ἀπόφασιν ἀποῤῥίψασαι, τοῖς Ἀποστόλοις καυχώμεναι ἔλεγον· Ἐσκύλευται ὁ θάνατος, ἠγέρθη Χριστὸς ὁ Θεός, δωρούμενος τῷ κόσμῳ τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	When the women Disciples of the Lord had learnt from the Angel the joyful message of the Resurrection, casting away the ancestral condemnation, triumphantly they said to the Apostles: Death has been despoiled, Christ God has been raised, granting the world his great mercy. Οἱ Μάρτυρές σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτῶν, στεφάνους ἐκομίσαντο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· σχόντες γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλον, ἔθραυσαν καὶ δαιμόνων, τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Σταυρῷ σε ὑψούμενον, ὡς ἐθεάσατο ἡ Ἄχραντος Μήτηρ σου, Λόγε Θεοῦ μητρικῶς, θρηνοῦσα ἐφθέγγετο· Τί τὸ καινὸν καὶ ξένον, τοῦτο θαῦμα Υἱέ μου; πῶς ἡ ζωὴ τῶν ὅλων, ὁμιλεῖς τῷ θανάτῳ; ζωῶσαι τοὺς θανέντας, θέλων ὡς εὔσπλαγχνος;	O Word of God, when your immaculate Mother saw you raised upon the Cross, lamenting as a mother, she cried out: 'What is this strange new wonder, my Son? The woman of Samaria came as she typically did * to draw from the old and perishable well, but instead * living water is what she drew. * For at the site of Jacob’s * well and fountain she found Him * sitting there, namely Jesus, the Well of living water, * who gives refreshment and relief from the world’s scorching heat. Φωστὴρ φαεινός, ἐδείχθης ἐν τοῖς πέρασι τὴν ἔρημον δέ, ἐπόλισας τοῖς πλήθεσι, σεαυτὸν ἐσταύρωσας, τὸν σταυρόν σου ἐπʼ ὤμων ἀράμενος, καὶ ἀσκήσει τὸ σῶμα, κατέτηξας, πρεσβεύων ἀπαύστως ὑπὲρ πάντων ἡμῶν.	You were shown to the world as a shining lamp, ⁄ and you made the desert a city by the multitudes of monks you gathered. ⁄ You yourself were crucified, ⁄ taking your cross upon your shoulders, and subduing your flesh through abstinence. ⁄⁄ Holy Pachomius, pray unceasingly for us all! Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τοῦ Ὁσίου Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Ἀχιλλίου Ἀρχιεπισκόπου Λαρίσης.*	On this day we also commemorate our devout Father Achillios, Metropolitan of Larissa.

Ἡ πηγὴ τῆς ζωαρχίας, Ἰησοῦς ὁ Σωτὴρ ἡμῶν, ἐπὶ τὴν πηγὴν ἐπιστὰς τοῦ Πατριάρχου Ἰακώβ, πιεῖν ἐζήτει ὕδωρ παρὰ γυναικὸς Σαμαρείτιδος. Τῆς δὲ τὸ ἀκοινώνητον τῶν Ἰουδαίων προσειπούσης, ὁ σοφὸς Δημιουργὸς μετοχετεύει αὐτήν, ταῖς γλυκείαις προσρήσεσι, μᾶλλον πρὸς αἴτησιν τοῦ ἀϊδίου ὕδατος· ὃ καὶ λαβοῦσα, τοῖς πᾶσιν ἐκήρυξεν εἰποῦσα· Δεῦτε, ἴδετε τῶν κρυπτῶν γνώστην καὶ Θεόν, παραγενόμενον σαρκί, διὰ τὸ σῶσαι τὸν ἄνθρωπον.	Jesus, our Savior, the well of life’s source, came to the well of the PatriarchJacob; and He asked a woman of Samaria for a drink of water. When she reminded Him that Jews have no dealings with Samaritans, the wise Creator changed the subject with His sweet words, and got her to ask Him for eternal water. When she received it, she went out and proclaimed it and said to all, "Come and see a man who knows all secrets. He is God, who has come in the flesh, to save humanity." [Lash]

Μεθʼ ὑδρίας ἀρδεύσασθαι, ἀπελθοῦσα καὶ φρέατι, τὴν ὑδρίαν ἄνυδρον καταλείψασα, μόνη πρὸς πόλιν ἐπέδραμε, πηγὴν τὴν ζωήῤῥυτον, ἐκβοῶσα ἐφευρεῖν, Σαμαρεῖτις τὴν ἄφθονον· ὅθεν ἤρδευσε, τὸ σωτήριον νᾶμα, καὶ τὴν ταύτης, ἐπανέψυξε καρδίαν, τὴν ἐκτακεῖσαν τοῖς πάθεσιν.	Having come with her water jar * to the well, the Samaritan * woman left it empty of water, and she went * into the city and cried aloud * to all that she had indeed * found the effervescent source * that abundantly gushes forth everlasting life. * Hence she drank of this water of salvation, and her heart, which from the passions * was parched and dry, was refreshed indeed. Τὸ φαιδρὸν τῆς ἀναστάσεως κήρυγμα, ἐκ τοῦ Ἀγγέλου μαθοῦσαι αἱ τοῦ Κυρίου Μαθήτριαι, καὶ τὴν προγονικὴν ἀπόφασιν ἀποῤῥίψασαι, τοῖς Ἀποστόλοις καυχώμεναι ἔλεγον· Ἐσκύλευται ὁ θάνατος, ἠγέρθη Χριστὸς ὁ Θεός, δωρούμενος τῷ κόσμῳ τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	When the women Disciples of the Lord had learnt from the Angel the joyful message of the Resurrection, casting away the ancestral condemnation, triumphantly they said to the Apostles: Death has been despoiled, Christ God has been raised, granting the world his great mercy. Χαῖρε πύλη Κυρίου ἡ ἀδιόδευτος· Χαῖρε τεῖχος καὶ σκέπη τῶν προστρεχόντων εἰς σέ· Χαῖρε ἀχείμαστε λιμήν, καὶ ἀπειρόγαμε· ἡ τεκοῦσα ἐν σαρκὶ τὸν ποιητήν σου καὶ Θεόν, πρεσβεύουσα μὴ ἐλλείπῃς, ὑπὲρ τῶν ἀνυμνούντων, καὶ προσκυνούντων τὸν τόκον σου. Στερεώσαι Κύριος ὁ Θεός τὴν ἁγίαν καὶ ἀμώμητον πίστιν τῶν εὐσεβῶν καὶ ὀρθοδόξων χριστιανῶν σὺν τῇ ἁγίᾳ αὐτοῦ Μεγάλῃ Ἐκκλησίᾳ, τῇ ἱερᾷ ἡμῶν Ἀρχιεπισκοπῇ, [τῇ ἱερᾷ Μητροπόλει ταύτῃ] καὶ τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ εἰς αἰῶνας αἰώνων. May He who rose from the dead, Christ our true God, through the intercessions of His all-pure and all-immaculate holy Mother, the power of the precious and life-giving Cross, the protection of the honorable, bodiless powers of heaven, the supplications of the honorable, glorious prophet and forerunner John the Baptist, of the holy, glorious, and praiseworthy apostles, of the holy, glorious, and triumphant martyrs, of our righteous and God-bearing fathers, (local patron saint); of the holy and righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, our devout and God-bearing father Pachomius the Great, whose memory we observe, and of all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, as He is good, benevolent, and merciful God.
