Ἐν ἀνομίαις συλληφθεὶς ἐγὼ ὁ ἄσωτος, οὐ τολμῶ ἀτενίσαι εἰς τὸ ὕψος τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἀλλὰ θαῤῥῶν εἰς τὴν φιλανθρωπίαν σου, κράζω, ὁ Θεὸς ἱλάσθητί μοι, καὶ σῶσόν με.	Conceived in iniquities, I, the wastrel, dare not raise my gaze to the height of heaven, but confident in your love for humankind I cry: O God be merciful to me and save me. [Lash]
Στίχ. Κύριε, μὴ τῷ θυμῷ σου ἐλέγξῃς με, μηδὲ τῇ ὀργῇ σου παιδεύσῃς με.	Verse: O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, nor chasten me in Your anger.

Ἄῤῥηκτον τεῖχος κεκτημένοι πιστοί, τὴν Θεοτόκον Μαρίαν, δεῦτε προσπέσωμεν αὐτῇ· παῤῥησίαν γὰρ ἔχει πρὸς τὸν τεχθέντα ἐξ αὐτῆς, τοῦ πρεσβεύειν καὶ σῴζειν ἀπὸ ὀργῆς, καὶ θανάτου τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.	Come, believers, having gained Mary the Mother of God as an unbreachable wall, let us fall down before her, for she has freedom to speak with the One who was born from her, to intercede and to save our souls from wrath and death. Σύ μου ὑπάρχεις, Θεός τε καὶ Κύριος.	Peter called out to the divinely eloquent Thomas, the disciple of the Lord and great initiate of the mysteries: We have seen the Lord! His friend said to him, crying out: Unless I see the wounds of His hands, I will not believe! Then the Master of all, in His desire to save all, came as a servant and said to Thomas: Touch My hands and My side and do not be unbelieving, for I am your Lord and God. In repentance he cried out: ⁄⁄ You are my Lord and my God! [OCA]

Τῇ Ϛʹ τοῦ αὐτοῦ μηνὸς μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Ἀποστόλου Θωμᾶ.	On October 6, we commemorate the holy Apostle Thomas.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῆς ἁγίας Μάρτυρος Ἐρωτηίδος.	On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyr Eroteis.
Ὁ ἅγιος νέος Ὁσιομάρτυς Μακάριος ὁ ἐκ Κίου μὲν τῆς Βιθυνίας καταγόμενος, ἐν Προύσῃ δὲ μαρτυρήσας, λιθοβοληθεὶς πρότερον, ὕστερον ξίφει τελειοῦται κατὰ τὸ ἔτος 1590.	The holy New Monastic Martyr Makarios, who was from Kios in Bithynia, but witnessed in Prusa, was stoned and then died by the sword in the year 1590.
Ταῖς αὐτῶν ἁγίαις πρεσβείαις, ὁ Θεός, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς. Ἀμήν.	By their holy intercessions, O God, have mercy on us. Amen.

A Stone not cut by human hand was cut from you, O Virgin, unhewn mountain: Christ the head of the corner, who joined together the natures that were parted; and so with joy, Mother of God, we magnify you. Τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐκδίκησιν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ἐλεγμοὺς ἐν τοῖς λαοῖς.	To deal retribution to the nations, reproving among the peoples.
Τοῦ δῆσαι τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν ἐν πέδαις καὶ τοὺς ἐνδόξους αὐτῶν ἐν χειροπέδαις σιδηραῖς.	To shackle their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron.
Τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς κρῖμα ἔγγραπτον· δόξα αὕτη ἔσται πᾶσι τοῖς ὁσίοις αὐτοῦ.	To fulfill among them the written judgment: this glory have all His holy ones.
