Θεὸς Κύριος καὶ ἐπέφανεν ἡμῖν. Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου. |
God is the Lord, and He revealed Himself to us. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. [SAAS] |
Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶ ἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ. |
Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His holy name. |
Στίχ. βʹ. Πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἐκύκλωσάν με, καὶ τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου ἠμυνάμην αὐτούς. |
Verse 2: All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I defended myself against them. |
Στίχ. γʹ. Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη καὶ ἔστι θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν. |
Verse 3: And this came about from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes. |

Οἱ Μάρτυρές σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτῶν, στεφάνους ἐκομίσαντο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· σχόντες γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλον, ἔθραυσαν καὶ δαιμόνων, τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Αὐτῶν ταῖς ἱκεσίαις, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν. |
Your Martyrs, O Lord, by their struggle obtained the crowns of incorruption from you, our God; for with your might they destroyed tyrants and vanquished the feeble insolence of the demons; at their intercessions, O Christ God, save our souls. [Lash] |

Τὸ ἀπʼ αἰῶνος ἀπόκρυφον, καὶ Ἀγγέλοις ἄγνωστον μυστήριον, διὰ σού Θεοτόκε τοῖς ἐπὶ γῆς πεφανέρωται, Θεὸς ἐν ἀσυγχύτῳ ἑνώσει σαρκούμενος, καὶ Σταυρὸν ἑκουσίως ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν καταδεξάμενος· διʼ οὗ ἀναστήσας τὸν πρωτόπλαστον, ἔσωσεν ἐκ θανάτου τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν. |
The mystery hidden from all eternity and unknown to Angels has been revealed to those on earth through you, O Mother of God: God being made flesh in a union without confusion, and willingly accepting the Cross for us, through which he raised the first-formed man and saved our souls from death. [Lash] |

Commemorating our all-holy, pure, most blessed and glorious Lady, Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, with all the Saints, let us entrust ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God. |

Ὡς καλοὶ στρατιῶται ὁμοφρόνως πιστεύσαντες, τὰς ἀπειλὰς τῶν τυράννων μὴ πτοούμενοι, Ἅγιοι, προσήλθετε προθύμως τῷ Χριστῷ, ἀράμενοι τὸν τίμιον Σταυρόν, καὶ τελέσαντες τὸν δρόμον, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ τὴν νίκην ἐδέξασθε. Δόξα τῷ ἐνισχύσαντι ὑμᾶς, δόξα τῷ στεφανώσαντι, δόξα τῷ δωρουμένῳ διʼ ὑμῶν, πᾶσιν ἰάματα. |
As good soldiers, believing with one accord, not trembling before the threats of tyrants, you fervently drew near to Christ, O Saints, having taken up the precious Cross, and having finished your course, you received victory from heaven. Glory to him who gave you strength; glory to him who crowned you; glory to him who through you grants healings to all. [Lash] |

Τὰς ἀλγηδόνας τῶν Ἁγίων, ἃς ὑπὲρ σοῦ ἔπαθον, δυσωπήθητι Κύριε, καὶ πάσας ἡμῶν τὰς ὀδύνας, ἴασαι φιλάνθρωπε δεόμεθα. |
Be entreated by the sufferings, which the Saints endured for you, O Lord; and heal all our pains, we beg, O Lover of mankind. [Lash] |

Τοὺς Μάρτυρας Χριστοῦ, ἱκετεύσωμεν πάντες· αὐτοὶ γὰρ τὴν ἡμῶν, σωτηρίαν αἰτοῦνται, καὶ πόθῳ προσέλθωμεν, πρὸς αὐτοὺς μετὰ πίστεως, οὗτοι νέμουσι, τῶν ἰαμάτων τὴν χάριν, οὗτοι φάλαγγας, ἀποσοβοῦσι δαιμόνων, ὡς φύλακες τῆς Πίστεως. |
Let us all beseech Christ’s Martyrs, for they ask for our salvation; and let us in love approach them with faith; they possess the grace of healing; they ward off the regiments of demons, as guardians of the Faith. [Lash] |

When Gabriel addressed you, O Virgin, with his 'Hail', as he spoke the Master of all things became incarnate in you the holy Ark, as righteous David sang. You were proclaimed wider than the heavens, for you carried your Creator. Glory to him who dwelt in you, glory to him who came forth from you, glory to him who has set us free through your bearing child. [Lash] |

Ἀθλήσεως καύχημα, καὶ στεφάνων ἀξίωμα, οἱ ἔνδοξοι Ἀθλοφόροι, περιβέβληνταί σε Κύριε· καρτερίᾳ γὰρ αἰκισμῶν, τοὺς ἀνόμους ἐτροπώσαντο, καὶ δυνάμει θεϊκῇ, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ τὴν νίκην ἐδέξαντο. Αὐτῶν ταῖς ἱκεσίαις, ἐλευθέρωσον τοῦ ἀοράτου ἐχθροῦ Σωτήρ, καὶ σῶσόν με. |
O Lord, You are the pride of the contest, the very dignity of the laurel crowns, which the glorious prize-winning Martyrs have put on as a garment. For by their endurance under torture they put the lawless men to flight. And by divine power from heaven they received the victory. Through their supplications set me free from the invisible enemies, O Savior, and save me. [SD] |

Τὸ τοῦ θανάτου κράτος, Χριστὲ κατήργησας, καὶ ἀφθαρσίαν τοῖς ἐπὶ γῆς ἐπήγασας, καὶ οἱ εἰς σὲ πιστεύοντες οὐ θνῄσκουσιν, ἀλλὰ ζῶσιν ἐν σοί. Ἀνάπαυσον οὖν Κύριε, τὰς ψυχὰς τῶν δούλων σου, καὶ κατάταξον αὐτοὺς μετὰ τῶν Ἁγίων σου, πρεσβείαις τῆς Θεοτόκου, χαριζόμενος αὐτοῖς τὰ ἐλέη σου. |
You destroyed the might of death, O Christ, and poured out incorruption for those on earth; and those who believe in you do not die, but live in you. Give rest then, Lord, to the souls of your servants, and settle them with your saints, at the prayers of the Mother of God, granting them your great mercy. [Lash] |

Give rest, O saviour, in a place of light, in the choir of the Just, those who have passed over to you, for they placed their hopes in you, Lover of mankind. Accept our supplication for parents and children, and justify those whose memory we celebrate, for you are full of mercy. [Lash] |

Creation rejoices in you, O Lady full of grace, beholding the miracle of miracles. For you conceived without seed, and ineffably gave birth to the One whom the orders of the angels cannot see. Entreat Him earnestly on behalf of our souls. [SD] |

Ὅτι εἰ ἠθέλησας θυσίαν, ἔδωκα ἄν· ὁλοκαυτώματα οὐκ εὐδοκήσεις. Θυσία τῷ Θεῷ πνεῦμα συντετριμμένον· καρδίαν συντετριμμένην καὶ τεταπεινωμένην ὁ Θεὸς οὐκ ἐξουδενώσει. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; and according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from my lawlessness and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my lawlessness, and my sin is always before me. Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. For behold, I was conceived in transgressions, and in sins my mother bore me. Behold, You love truth; You showed me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom. You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; You shall wash me, and I will be made whiter than snow. You shall make me hear joy and gladness; my bones that were humbled shall greatly rejoice. Turn Your face from my sins, and blot out all my transgressions. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your guiding Spirit. I will teach transgressors Your ways, and the ungodly shall turn back to You. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall greatly rejoice in Your righteousness. O Lord, You shall open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. For if You desired sacrifice, I would give it; You will not be pleased with whole burnt offerings. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit, a broken and humbled heart God will not despise. Do good, O Lord, in Your good pleasure to Zion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built; then You will be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with offerings and whole burnt offerings; then shall they offer young bulls on Your altar. Τοὺς γενναίους Μάρτυρας, καὶ ἀδελφοὺς κατὰ σάρκα, τὸν σοφὸν Εὐλάμπιον, καὶ Εὐλαμπίαν τιμῶμεν· οὗτοι γὰρ τῶν τυραννούντων μηχανουργίας, ᾔσχυναν τῇ δυναστείᾳ τοῦ σταυρωθέντος. ἀνεδείχθησαν διόπερ, Μαρτύρων δόξα, ὁμοῦ καὶ καύχημα. |
We extol Eulampius, * the brave and wise, with his sister, * the devout Eulampia. * They both were valorous Martyrs. * For they put to shame the schemes of the persecutors, * by the might of Christ the crucified Lord and Savior. * They were shown to be the glory, * the pride and joy of the holy Martyr Saints. [SD] |

O believers, today let us extol that duo of medaled Saints, with sacred songs and hymns. They brought down the deceptive error of idolatry, they extinguished the fire of pagan worship, and they shamed the demons. They were not frightened by the anger of the tyrants, they did not cower before the sword and the fire, nor the fierceness of the wild animals, but they competed well. Glorious Eulampius and holy Eulampia were siblings, fellow athletes, the pride and joy of the holy Martyr Saints. [SD] |

On October 10, we commemorate the holy martyrs Eulampius and Eulampia. |

On this day we commemorate the two-hundred holy martyrs who were killed along with Saint Eulampius. |
