Θεοτόκε Ἀειπάρθενε, τὴν ἁγίαν σοῦ Σκέπην, διʼ ἧς περισκέπεις, τοὺς εἰς σὲ ἐλπίζοντας, κραταιὰν τῷ Ἔθνει σου καταφυγὴν ἐδωρήσω· ὅτι ὡς πάλαι καὶ νῦν θαυμαστῶς ἡμᾶς ἔσωσας, ὡς νοητὴ νεφέλη, τὸν σὸν λαὸν περιβαλοῦσα. Διὸ δυσωποῦμεν σε, εἰρήνην τῇ πολιτείᾳ σου δώρησαι, καὶ ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἡμῶν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	Mother of God Ever-Virgin, you have given your holy Protection, through which you protect those who hope in you, as a mighty refuge for your race. In those days, Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, I was conceived in transgressions, and in sins my mother bore me. Behold, You love truth; You showed me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom. Σὲ ἰδὼν ξένῃ ὄψει, δορυφορουμένην καθάπερ βασίλισσαν, ὑφʼ ἁγίων Κόρη, ὁ Ἀνδρέας ἐξέστη ὁ Ὅσιος, ὅτε τὴν σεπτήν σου, Ἐσθῆτα ἥπλωσας ἀΰλως, καὶ λαὸν τὸν πιστόν σου ἐσκέπασας.	In a mystical vision, * St. Andrew the fool for Christ beheld you as a Queen, * solemnly attended * by an escort of Saints, and he was amazed, * when he saw you, Lady, as you unfurled your holy garment, * and you covered the prayerful believers there. Θαῦμα ἔδειξας μέγα, ἐναργῶς Πανάμωμε εἰς περιποίησιν, τοῦ πιστοῦ λαοῦ σου· ἀοράτως γὰρ τοῦτον ἐσκέπασας, ὑπὸ τοῦ σεπτοῦ σου, χερσί σου θείαις Μαφορίου· ὅθεν πάντες αἰνοῦμεν σε χαίροντες.	You clearly displayed a great wonder, O All-blameless, for the safe-keeping of your faithful people; for you sheltered them invisibly with your godlike hands by your honoured Veil.
