Θεὸς Κύριος καὶ ἐπέφανεν ἡμῖν. Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου. |
God is the Lord, and He revealed Himself to us. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. [SAAS] |
Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶ ἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ. |
Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His holy name. |
Στίχ. βʹ. Πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἐκύκλωσάν με, καὶ τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου ἠμυνάμην αὐτούς. |
Verse 2: All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I defended myself against them. |
Στίχ. γʹ. Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη καὶ ἔστι θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν. |
Verse 3: And this came about from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes. |

Ἡ ἀμνάς σου Ἰησοῦ, κράζει μεγάλη τῇ φωνῇ. Σὲ Νυμφίε μου ποθῶ, καὶ σὲ ζητοῦσα ἀθλῶ, καὶ συσταυροῦμαι καὶ συνθάπτομαι τῷ βαπτισμῷ σου· καὶ πάσχω διὰ σέ, ὡς βασιλεύσω σὺν σοί, καὶ θνήσκω ὑπὲρ σοῦ, ἵνα καὶ ζήσω ἐν σοί· ἀλλʼ ὡς θυσίαν ἄμωμον προσδέχου τὴν μετὰ πόθου τυθεῖσάν σοι. Αὐτῆς πρεσβείαις, ὡς ἐλεήμων, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν. |
O Jesu, your lamb cries aloud: O my Bridegroom, I long for you; and seeking you I struggle, and I am crucified and buried with you in your baptism; and I suffer for your sake, that I may reign with you; and I die for you, that I may live in you; but as a spotless victim now accept one who with longing is slain for you. Through her prayers, as you are merciful, save our souls! [Lash] |

Ἐν σοὶ Πάτερ ἀκριβῶς διεσώθη τὸ κατʼ εἰκόνα· λαβὼν γὰρ τὸν σταυρόν, ἠκολούθησας τῷ Χριστῷ καὶ πράττων ἐδίδασκες· ὑπερορᾶν μὲν σαρκός, παρέρχεται γάρ, ἐπιμελεῖσθαι δὲ ψυχῆς πράγματος ἀθανάτου. Διὸ καὶ μετὰ Ἀγγέλων συναγάλλεται, Ὅσιε Ἀβράμιε, τὸ πνεῦμά σου. |
In you, O Father, is preserved undistorted what was made in the image of God; for taking up the cross, you followed Christ and by example taught, that we should overlook the flesh, since it passes away, and instead look after the soul, since it is immortal. And therefore, O devout Abramius, your spirit rejoices with the angels. [SD] |

Ἡ νοητὴ πύλη τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν, ἄχραντε Θεοτόκε, τοὺς προστρέχοντάς σοι πιστῶς, λύτρωσαι τῶν κινδύνων, ἵνα δοξάζωμεν τὸν πανάγιον τόκον σου, εἰς σωτηρίαν τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν. |
O immaculate Theotokos, as the intelligible Gate of life, rescue from peril those who run to you with faith, so that we may glorify your all-holy childbirth, for the salvation of our souls. [SD] |
Ἀναγινώσκεται τὸ οἰκεῖον Κάθισμα τοῦ Ψαλτηρίου, ἤτοι Κάθισμα 13. Μεθʼ ὃ ἡ μικρὰ Συναπτή. |

Commemorating our all-holy, pure, most blessed and glorious Lady, Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, with all the Saints, let us entrust ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God. |

Οἱ τῶν Ἀποστόλων πρωτόθρονοι, καὶ τῆς οἰκουμένης διδάσκαλοι, τῷ Δεσπότῃ τῶν ὅλων πρεσβεύσατε, εἰρήνην τῇ οἰκουμένῃ δωρήσασθαι, καὶ ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἡμῶν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος. |
Princes of the Apostles and teachers of the whole world intercede with the Master of all things to grant peace to the whole world and to our souls his great mercy. [Lash] |

Φωστῆρας εἰς τὰ πέρατα, τοὺς Μαθητάς σου Χριστέ, ἀνέδειξας ἐκλάμποντας, ἐν τῷ κηρύγματι, ψυχὰς καταυγάζοντας, πλάνην τὴν τῶν εἰδώλων, διʼ αὐτῶν ἀμαυρώσας, δόγμασιν εὐσεβείας, καταλάμψας τὸν κόσμον. Αὐτῶν ταῖς ἱκεσίαις, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν. |
You appointed your Disciples, O Christ, as beacons shining to the ends of the earth, illumining souls by their preaching, through them dispelling the deception of idols and flooding the world with the rays of the doctrines of true religion. At their intercessions save our souls. [Lash] |

Swiftly accept our supplications, Sovereign Lady, and bring them before your Son and God, pure Virgin; destroy the troubles of those who have recourse to you, scatter the ambushes and the insolent assaults of those who are now in arms against your servants. [Lash] |

Εἰς πᾶσαν διέδραμεν, ὑμῶν ὁ φθόγγος τὴν γῆν, καὶ πλάνης ἐμώρανε, σοφίαν ἄσοφον, Ἀπόστολοι ἔνδοξοι, εἵλκυσε τοὺς ἀνθρώπους, ἐκ βυθοῦ τῆς ἀπάτης, ἔδειξε δὲ τοῖς πᾶσι, σωτηρίας τὴν τρίβον· διὸ νῦν ἐπαξίως, ὑμᾶς μακαρίζομεν. |
Your voice has gone out into all the earth, glorious Apostles, and turned the unwise wisdom of error into folly, drawn all mankind from the abyss of deception and shown to all the path of salvation; therefore we now rightly call you blessed. [Lash] |

You appointed your Disciples, O Saviour, as heralds of the Faith, guiding the nations through them to knowledge of you; for with the rays of their words they enlightened all mankind, by truly sowing the seed of true religion. At their intercessions save our souls. [Lash] |

Ῥῦσαί με ἐξ αἱμάτων, ὁ Θεός, ὁ Θεὸς τῆς σωτηρίας μου· ἀγαλλιάσεται ἡ γλῶσσά μου τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου. Κύριε, τὰ χείλη μου ἀνοίξεις καὶ τὸ στόμα μου ἀναγγελεῖ τὴν αἴνεσίν σου. Ὅτι εἰ ἠθέλησας θυσίαν, ἔδωκα ἄν· ὁλοκαυτώματα οὐκ εὐδοκήσεις. Θυσία τῷ Θεῷ πνεῦμα συντετριμμένον· καρδίαν συντετριμμένην καὶ τεταπεινωμένην ὁ Θεὸς οὐκ ἐξουδενώσει. Ἀγάθυνον, Κύριε, ἐν τῇ εὐδοκίᾳ σου τὴν Σιὼν καὶ οἰκοδομηθήτω τὰ τείχη Ἰερουσαλήμ. Τότε εὐδοκήσεις θυσίαν δικαιοσύνης, ἀναφορὰν καὶ ὁλοκαυτώματα. Τότε ἀνοίσουσιν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν σου μόσχους. |
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; and according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from my lawlessness and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my lawlessness, and my sin is always before me. Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. For behold, I was conceived in transgressions, and in sins my mother bore me. Behold, You love truth; You showed me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom. You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; You shall wash me, and I will be made whiter than snow. You shall make me hear joy and gladness; my bones that were humbled shall greatly rejoice. Turn Your face from my sins, and blot out all my transgressions. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your guiding Spirit. I will teach transgressors Your ways, and the ungodly shall turn back to You. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall greatly rejoice in Your righteousness. O Lord, You shall open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. For if You desired sacrifice, I would give it; You will not be pleased with whole burnt offerings. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit, a broken and humbled heart God will not despise. Do good, O Lord, in Your good pleasure to Zion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built; then You will be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with offerings and whole burnt offerings; then shall they offer young bulls on Your altar.
