God is the Lord, and He revealed Himself to us. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. [SAAS] |
Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶ ἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ. |
Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His holy name. |
Στίχ. βʹ. Πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἐκύκλωσάν με, καὶ τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου ἠμυνάμην αὐτούς. |
Verse 2: All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I defended myself against them. |
Στίχ. γʹ. Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη καὶ ἔστι θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν. |
Verse 3: And this came about from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes. |

Ἀπόστολοι Ἅγιοι, πρεσβεύσατε τῷ ἐλεήμονι Θεῷ, ἵνα πταισμάτων ἄφεσιν, παράσχῃ ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἡμῶν. |
O holy Apostles, intercede with the merciful God to grant our souls forgiveness of sins. [Lash] |

Ὁ Μάρτυς σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτοῦ, τὸ στέφος ἐκομίσατο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· ἔχων γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλεν· ἔθραυσε καὶ δαιμόνων, τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Αὐτοῦ ταῖς ἱκεσίαις, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν. |
Your Martyr, O Lord, by his struggle obtained the crown of incorruption from you, our God; for with your might he destroyed tyrants, and shattered the feeble insolence of the demons: at his prayers, Christ our God, save our souls. [Lash] |

Τῇ Θεοτόκῳ ἐκτενῶς, νῦν προσδράμωμεν, ἁμαρτωλοὶ καὶ ταπεινοί, καὶ προσπέσωμεν ἐν μετανοίᾳ, κράζοντες ἐκ βάθους ψυχῆς· Δέσποινα βοήθησον, ἐφ ἡμῖν σπλαγχνισθεῖσα, σπεῦσον ἀπολλύμεθα, ὑπὸ πλήθους πταισμάτων, μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς σοὺς δούλους κενούς· σὲ γὰρ καὶ μόνην ἐλπίδα κεκτήμεθα. |
Now to God’s Mother let us humble sinners run in haste * and in repentance let us fall down before her feet, * crying aloud with fervour from the depths of our souls, * ’sovereign Lady, help us now, * have compassion upon us, * hasten, for we perish * from our many offences. * Let not your servants go empty away; * we have you as our only hope'. [Lash] |

Commemorating our all-holy, pure, most blessed and glorious Lady, Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, with all the Saints, let us entrust ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God. |

Ἐννοῶ τὴν ἡμέραν τὴν φοβεράν, καὶ θρηνῶ μου τὰς πράξεις τὰς ῥυπαράς· πῶς ἀπολογήσομαι, τῷ ἀθανάτῳ Βασιλεῖ; ποίᾳ δὲ παῤῥησίᾳ ἀτενίσω τῷ Κριτῇ, ὁ ἄσωτος ἐγώ; Εὔσπλαγχνε Πάτερ, Υἱὲ μονογενές, τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον, ἐλέησόν με. |
I think about that fearful day, and I lament my filthy deeds. How shall I argue in my own defense before the immortal King? How can I face the Judge with confidence, the prodigal that I am? O compassionate Father, only-begotten Son, and Holy Spirit, I implore, have mercy on me! [LashSD] |

Verse: O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, nor chasten me in Your anger. |

Εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα τοῦ κλαυθμῶνος, εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν διέθου, ὅταν καθίσῃς Ἐλεῆμον, κρίσιν δικαίαν ποιῆσαι, μὴ δημοσιεύσῃς μου τὰ κεκρυμμένα, μηδὲ καταισχύνῃς με ἐνώπιον τῶν Ἀγγέλων, ἀλλὰ φεῖσαί μου ὁ Θεός, καὶ ἐλέησόν με. |
When You sit to pass righteous judgment, in the valley of weeping, in the place You appointed, O merciful Master, please do not make public the sins I committed in private, please do not embarrass me in the presence of the Angels. I beg You, spare me, O God, and have mercy on me! [GOASD] |

The Son and Logos of God before the ages was begotten * of God the Father without a mother. But in these last times, * when He became incarnate from your virgin blood, * O Theotokos, you bore Him without a man. * Entreat Him to grant to us forgiveness of our sins before the end, O Lady. [GOASD] |

The martyr athletes offered resistance in the ring, * contesting for the faith, and the tyrants tortured them. * The hosts of Incorporeals observed and were holding the victory medals. * The truly wise contestants amazed the tyrants and kings. * They overturned the devil by their confession of Christ. * O Lord, who strengthened them, glory to You. Ῥῦσαί με ἐξ αἱμάτων, ὁ Θεός, ὁ Θεὸς τῆς σωτηρίας μου· ἀγαλλιάσεται ἡ γλῶσσά μου τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου. Κύριε, τὰ χείλη μου ἀνοίξεις καὶ τὸ στόμα μου ἀναγγελεῖ τὴν αἴνεσίν σου. Ὅτι εἰ ἠθέλησας θυσίαν, ἔδωκα ἄν· ὁλοκαυτώματα οὐκ εὐδοκήσεις. Θυσία τῷ Θεῷ πνεῦμα συντετριμμένον· καρδίαν συντετριμμένην καὶ τεταπεινωμένην ὁ Θεὸς οὐκ ἐξουδενώσει. Ἀγάθυνον, Κύριε, ἐν τῇ εὐδοκίᾳ σου τὴν Σιὼν καὶ οἰκοδομηθήτω τὰ τείχη Ἰερουσαλήμ. Τότε εὐδοκήσεις θυσίαν δικαιοσύνης, ἀναφορὰν καὶ ὁλοκαυτώματα. Τότε ἀνοίσουσιν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν σου μόσχους. |
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; and according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from my lawlessness and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my lawlessness, and my sin is always before me. Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. For behold, I was conceived in transgressions, and in sins my mother bore me. Behold, You love truth; You showed me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom. You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; You shall wash me, and I will be made whiter than snow. You shall make me hear joy and gladness; my bones that were humbled shall greatly rejoice. Turn Your face from my sins, and blot out all my transgressions. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your guiding Spirit. I will teach transgressors Your ways, and the ungodly shall turn back to You. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall greatly rejoice in Your righteousness. O Lord, You shall open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. For if You desired sacrifice, I would give it; You will not be pleased with whole burnt offerings. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit, a broken and humbled heart God will not despise. Do good, O Lord, in Your good pleasure to Zion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built; then You will be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with offerings and whole burnt offerings; then shall they offer young bulls on Your altar. O wise men, you displaced the delusion of idols * through God-inspired words of your teaching and preaching * to all to believe in God, the divine Holy Trinity. * Therefore you received glorious halos in heaven, * and forever you have your reward, O Apostles, * for all that you did for Christ.
